Intentional influence and non-techie blogging with Tim Morris

Tim Morris
I was introduced to Tim Morris from Intentional Influence (@RustyTim) about the same time I started my blog. We started exchanging email fairly quickly and have become friends through online avenues. I listed him as one of my 27 people and can’t wait to meet him face to face someday!

Tim is one of those truly enjoyable people to get to know. It doesn’t take long talking to him to figure out that his passion is people and building relationships with them to intentionally influence those around him in a positive way.

One of the reasons that I wanted to interview Tim was to illustrate the fact that you don’t have to be a long time techie to start having an online presence. As you’ll discover from listening to the podcast, Tim doesn’t have a significant number of hours logged in to the online clock. Yet, through a drive fueled by his passions, he has taken the internet bull by the horns and gone all out.

You should definitely check this out.

Mentions
Due to the fact that we were introduced by the amazing Josh Crocker at JoshCrocker.com (@josh_crocker), we mention him a number of times. If you’re not following him on Twitter (despite the fact that I continually mention him here), you should go do that. We also mention Tim Ferriss and Josh Buisch (who apparently needs to contact me so we can get him online!)

Enjoy!

I can really relate to Tim, when I got started I wasn’t techie at ALL. Technology was something that I was interested in, but never really gave much attention to it about 3 years ago when I got picked up the first iPhone.

It’s funny your story about how you read the 4 hour workweek. I was hooked when I started learning about all the assumptions I had been brainwashed to believe. Totally changed my life and the way I think now.

Dude, just listening to you made me smarter instantly.

Both of you got the RIGHT priorities man. “The Family”

It’s so flipping awesome. Not a dad, will be eventually, but that was a killer answer Tim.

Hey brother, I just want to wish you the best luck, you really influenced me and I think you have a really great voice, I think if you had a podcast people would listen, because I think a lot of people would connect with your core. Definitely adding you to my contacts.

@David what can I say, great interview, great choice of interviewee, just a smart guy and I think he’s got a lot of things to offer people on the web.

Thanks, buddy! You continue to be such an encouraging person and I love it. Thank you for taking the time to respond to Tim’s interview and encourage him regarding his views and his voice. You rock!

I hear that Wilson. The assumptions that I had for so long blinded me too. Once the fold was
lifted I have not been able to stop connecting, learning, and exploring. It has truly been a
      blast.

Thanks for the encouragement of the priorities. There are times where when I read to much
about this whole world of lifestyle design, I have to definitely stay checked in that it does not
up the list to much. I wonder, is that only for the married people or do others struggle with that?
There has got to be a balance between going all out after this stuff and keeping the priorities in
      the correct order.

About the podcast – that is a great idea. I am not sure how to do it but I could learn and can see
it coming in a few months. That is a great idea. Thanks. Remember – where there is 1 there is 1000.

Looking forward to more interaction with you man.

I’ve just been hit with an amazing idea – I’m going to video interview you both, and then do a voice-over of whatever it is you say with whatever I find funny at the moment.

      Yaga!!!
