Thank you so much for reading this week! I’ve had a blast interacting with you and getting some amazing responses.
In case you missed something, here is a quick recap of the week:
Monday – Are you aware the you believe that?
The first article in a 3 part serious about Beliefs and Fears illustrates that differences between public, private, and core beliefs. Also drew a conclusion that regardless of what you say or think you believe, your actions always dictate the actual beliefs that you live your life according to.
- Call to action: Identify what your actions show that you truly believe.
Tuesday – The reflection of a hyprocrite
Called myself a hypocrite in this article and explained why I think that. The reason I (or any of us) am a hypocrite is that despite setting lofty goals that I want to live by, I have fears that prevent me from following through.
- Call to action: Identify what you are afraid of.
Wednesday – The cure for fear’s greatest weapon
Fear’s greatest weapon: the question of “What if?” and how our mind creates worst case scenarios. The cure: deciding to take action despite our fears and push through knowing that removing uncertainty is a powerful tool. The best way to motivate yourself to act is to identify a bigger “What if?” that has worse consequences for not acting upon than the smaller ones do in their worst case scenarios.
- Call to action: Identify a large enough “What if?” question to motivate you to do the things that are necessary to change your life.
Thursday – Heroes and choices
The world around us is full of disasters caused by natural and human forces. Heroes give us hope that these things will not overcome us…but heroes aren’t just for the movies. Clip of Tyler Durden included to illustrate a point…and because I love the movie/book Fight Club.
- Call to action: Confess whether or not you believe you have been given the choice of being a hero and what you are doing to act upon it.
Friday – Circumstances and action
You are cast in the role of hero because you are amazing. If you think your circumstances are holding you back, you haven’t seen them for the opportunity that they are.
- Call to action: I asked if you see yourself as a hero. An additional call to action would be to identify what it is in your circumstances that is providing you the opportunity to be a hero.
Have a great weekend and I’ll see you Monday!
- David
