Take time to be thankful for those who died to protect those things you love. (source: The U.S. Army)
I hope you’re having a great Memorial Day weekend. For those of you not in the States, Memorial Day is a day set aside to remember those who have served in your country’s military. I encourage you to take a moment and give thanks for those things that you enjoy and take for granted that someone else had to sacrifice to protect. If you read nothing else from my recommendations this week, you need to at least visit the first link and read it. Very moving!

Long-lost poem reveals soldier’s torment
This is a must read for Memorial Day. Amazing story of a man’s experience with having to take another’s life. Here’s the first four lines.
I shot a man yesterday
And much to my surprise,
The strangest thing happened to me
I began to cry.
How to Create a Service that Blows Everyone AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAY !
Great story that illustrates how important customer service and experience is. The author hated the food that he ate, but because of the experience (you can’t imagine it unless you read this) he will never forget this! Some great stuff here for all of us that love marketing, psychology, sales, and bizarre things from Japan (which is me).
Thought this was an interesting post. True to our society’s rules, faults in a demographic are only tolerated by a member of that demographic. In this article, a woman takes a look at how men are treated in our culture. Eye opening. Well, unless you’re a guy and already realize a lot of this, in which case it’s really just eye opening for women…unless you’re a woman who’s already realized this, in which case it’s just an interesting read.
Why you’re willing to pay top dollar for junk food and not healthy food (and how to change it)
Read this! It was the post that I thought about the most this week. Really eye opening observation about how we make irrational decisions when we’re already being irrational about something else. It also talks about the opposite. I kept finding myself thinking about it as I was in different situations and realizing just how true it was. Now go, read it.
And don’t you DARE leave a comment below! Well, ok…if you want to you can.
